What. A. Night.
Last Saturday marked the season finale of the 2026 Midwest Dash season, and it was one for the record books! While a few teams battled mechanical issues and couldn’t make the trip, 24 drivers rolled into Dells Raceway Park ready for one final showdown.
With the championship battle still up for grabs, every point mattered. Qualifying, heat races, and the feature all had huge implications as drivers fought for every position.
⏱️ Qualifying Shatters Records
The night started with a bang as Matt Berger laid down a blistering 15.347-second lap, setting a new Midwest Dash track record and claiming Fast Time honors! 🔥
Mark Dewey stayed within striking distance with a strong 15.495, followed by Tim Anderson, Mark English, and Kamren Hill rounding out the top five.
The competition was incredibly tight, with the top 13 drivers all running in the 15-second bracket!
🏁 Heat Race Winners
Heat 1
After an intense battle for the lead, Al Strobel worked his way to the front and held off the field for the victory.
Heat 2
Amanda Bohn jumped out front early, but Josh Wilhite stormed to the lead on lap two and never looked back, taking the win.
Heat 3
This stacked group saw plenty of action and side-by-side racing. After several lead changes, Mark English grabbed the top spot and drove away with the win.
🔥 The Feature: A Championship Fight to the End
The 30-lap finale delivered everything fans could ask for.
Justin Schelitzche and George Bohn led the field to green and immediately began putting on a show, battling lap after lap while the rest of the field scrambled for position.
A caution on lap 10 tightened the field back up and set the stage for even more drama.
Meanwhile, Matt Berger was methodically charging forward. After working his way through traffic, he found himself battling Justin for the lead. As the laps wound down, Berger took control and never looked back.
Another caution with 16 laps complete gave the field one more shot, but Berger was simply too strong, pulling away as everyone behind him fought tooth and nail for every position.
