The weather tried to steal the show, but 13 elite drivers turned up the heat for the 6th Annual Cheese Curd Cup at Madison International Speedway!
Qualifying:
Karter Stark set the tone early, blistering the tight track to clock the Fast Time of the night. Mark Dewey, Kyle Riedner, Justin Schelitzche, and Mark English rounded out the top five, while the rest of the hungry field stacked up close behind.
Heat Races:
- Heat 1: Steve Dickson and Jeremy Whitman led the charge to the green. Steve jumped out early trying to check out on the field, but Tim Anderson put on a masterclass, hunting him down to snatch the lead and the Heat 1 victory!
- Heat 2: Phil Malouf and John Handeland brought the field to life, but a chaotic Lap 1 incident involving English quickly triggered the caution. Once the green flew again, Kyle Riedner blasted to the front and never looked back, cruising to a dominant win.
The Main Event:
Morgan Zerwinski and Anna Malouf brought the pack to the green for the Feature, but early multi-car chaos triggered an immediate caution. Under the single-car restart rules, Anna inherited the point. When the green waved, the pack turned into a flock of wolves!
While drivers traded paint through the field, Karter Stark sliced his way to the front. Mark English survived a brutal, wheel-to-wheel war with Tim Anderson to secure second, but nobody had anything for Stark. He crossed the line to cap off a perfect night with the Cheese Curd Cup trophy! 🏆
