Age: Really? I am old!!!! I will be 60 in June (don’t publish that!) Occupation: EDI Manager, Encounter Operations Where did I get my start into racing? all my life I wanted to be a race car driver. My dad did a lot of extreme sports when I was growing up and he helped pit for a few racers, but he never raced cars. There was a time when women were not welcomed to participate in this sport. What started out as a bucketlist item…my husband bought a VW bug in 2018 for my birthday and I raced it for 3 season starting in 2019. Who was your favorite race car driver growing up? I met and spent the day at a company function with Ricky Rudd in mid-1993 after his 1992 IROC championship, but the Earnhardt's were always my favorite to watch and follow. Favorite Racing memory? Slinger Speedway Sept 2022, winning my first feature race alongside my mentor and friend, Tommie Elsinger, winning his first track Championship! Any race day rituals/superstitions? Too many superstitions…it’s really pretty scary! But, my ritual is having a track brat after every qualifying session. No qualifying, no brat Best racing advice you have ever gotten? Wow….too many! Tommie hasn’t been easy on me, he tests my confidence and pushes my comfort zone all the time! Favorite track? I have been to several tracks actually and each have their pros and cons, but Slinger Super Speedway will always have my heart! Favorite activities besides racing? spending time with my kids, my family, camping, utv’ing and a life long seamstress. Favorite place to eat? Home Favorite movie/tv show? Shawshank Redemption. Fun fact: I have a racing themed pen someone made me with wood from the famous oak tree.
